the band

The "DidgeGrooveCompany" was formed by and around the Austrian didgeridoo player Klaus Wintersteller in 1999. The basic idea was to connect the unique sound of the didgeridoo with percussions and modern elements to create a variation of sound-patterns.

Together with Georg Degenhardt (mainly African and oriental percussions), Axl Scheutz (Cuban and popular percussion) and Kurt Deixler (electric & acoustic guitars, electronics), sound dimensions of unique quality have developed themselves.

The musical spectrum includes "natural trance techno" with rock groovy parts as well as melodic quiet spherical sounds. The music is best suited for concerts, events and all kinds of jubilees as well as feasts, parties and celebrations (from the birth to the death) inside or also outside.
