Since 1999 the Austrian crossover band DidgeGrooveCompany has opened their musical "sound-worlds" to the public.

The band members are:

• Klaus Wintersteller — didgeridoo und Irish bronzeage horns
• Georg Degenhardt & Axl Scheutz — various percussions
• Kurt Deixler — guitars, electronics

Typical for the balance in the sound of this ensemble are the resulting musical "tension springs" trough the instrumentation itself.

While the different styles of the two percussionists are already causing a wide variation within the rhythmic proportions, the musical texture is then further changed, enhanced and "colored" by the addition of guitar, which fulfills it's traditional harmonic and melodic functions, but also "slips into the role of an experimental sound source".

The didgeridoo, with it's immanent character of sound and rhythm on the other side, connects this musical fields — being the skeleton but also the heart of this "sound-organism".
